What is Somatic Coaching and how can it help me?
As trauma-informed somatic coach I will support you to gently reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, empowering, and led by you.
My unique coaching method weaves together cutting-edge, research-backed science and deeply nourishing spiritual practices to support deep and sustainable transformation.
I also use the Soma-Pysche-Soul Coaching Method® which recognises the holistic nature of each and every one of us and looks at how we are within our body (soma), our mind (pysche) and our soul. Each one of these needs loving care and attention at the right time for you.
Rather than focusing only on thoughts or talking through problems, somatic coaching works with the body, with your sensations, breath, movement, and nervous system.
This is so important because stress, trauma, and long-term illness are not just “in the mind”—they are held and experienced in the body too.
Being trauma-informed means the work is always nervous system friendly and guided by safety, choice, and respect for your unique experiences. There is no pressure to push, relive, or “fix” anything. Instead, the focus is on building trust with your body at your own pace.
How does this help women with chronic mental or physical illness?
Stress is not just psychological, it is physiological - we can’t talk our way out of it, we can slowly learn how to build a sense of safety and capacity and feel our way back to healing.
Many women ( like myself) living with chronic conditions (such as CFS/ME, long Covid, anxiety, burnout, autoimmune illness, chronic pain or complex PTSD) feel disconnected from their bodies, stuck in cycles of stress and symptoms and, as a result of this live in fear and overwhelm.
We can also feel so unheard, unsupported and unseen through our journey which can leave us feeling so alone.
As a somatic coach my job is to let you know you are not alone and to walk alongside you on your precious journey. To help you re-learn how to live in your body again - to help you to reconnect with your aliveness, a sense of ground, a sense of safety and a sense of embodied hope.
Together we will do this through coaching, practices (both done during our sessions as well as take-home practices), movement, breathwork and using many powerful healing modalities.
