Hi my friend
I always think it’s so helpful to know and understand a bit about the background of the person you are trusting to support you with your healing journey so here is a little about me.
As with so many healers (and the best ones I think!) I have come towards this work because of my own struggles. 18 years ago, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and since then I've struggled a lot with many different symptoms, associated mental health problems and severe anxiety, complex PTSD and grief that came as a result of the impact of the illness on my life.
I have spent many many years trying to find my way back to myself and struggling.
I tried a million different healing modalities, you name it, I tried it and as time went on I felt like more and more of a failure as nothing seemed to work. I felt like there was something fundamentally wrong with me, that I was broken in a way no-one else was and it was soul destroying.
Then 3 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and this ultimately changed the direction of my life. I had to stop and focus much more on myself, putting my needs first (finally! It’s taken a while believe me). Following all of the treatment I became determined to find a way out of the darkness and fear that had ruled everything for so long and doing this with as much self-compassion and kindness as I could.
I began to really explore somatic trauma healing, nervous system restoration and regulation work, grief work, parts work, self-compassion and heart and soul healing work .
I slowly began to be able to turn towards my pain, symptoms, sensations and feelings with kindness and understanding, not from a place of trying to force and fix but from a kinder, more gentle place of allowing and releasing and, eventually, trusting myself again.
It wasn’t a quick fix, but I genuinely no longer believe that any sustainable healing happens quickly, we have to go through it to heal it. I now truly and deeply understand the profoundly powerful effects these healing approaches can have when it comes to healing in a sustainable way.
During this time I also did my level 3 counselling qualification and then realising that I wanted to train in a much more holistic way that incorporates the body, mind, soul and heart, I found a training course to become a Trauma informed somatic coach for women.
I now combine this training alongside other modalities and approaches that have helped me deepen in my own healing.
So, I now work as a trauma informed somatic coach one to one and in small groups both in person and online.
My passion and commitment to all of my women is to offer a safe, healing and deeply nurturing space to other women going through chronic illness of any kind be that mental, physical or emotional or who are coping with complex PTSD, grief and loss.
I am on a mission to support you to reconnect with your body, heart and soul & come back home to yourself again, to release past traumas, losses and held and stuck emotional patterns, to begin to build a sense of safety within your nervous system and a sense of trust within yourself.
To become more empowered, hopeful, feel stronger, more self compassionate and ultimately to find freedom and healing through that process.

Coming back home to yourself
A 10 week course to devote yourself to healing, releasing, learning and reconnecting with yourself.
2 sessions per week. 1 educational and discussion based and 1 movement class.
Who is it for: This course is for any woman who feels stuck, lost, overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted or chronically ill and is looking for a way to find some sense of self again, to find some grounded connection with their own body, mind, soul and heart and to begin to trust themselves again. To release stuck and emotions and find a sense of freedom and lightness and to ultimately feel empowered and hopeful again.
Benefits of this course: This course is unique because it combines specific Yoga and somatic movement sessions alongside lectures & Q&A on the various topics. Each movement session will compliment and support the learnings from the lecture sessions.

Please don’t worry. You simply cannot fail! Even if you just turn up you have achieved and you can be proud of yourself. Self compassion is the most important aspect of this so try and offer yourself that. Trust that whatever you are meant to take from this course is the right thing for you now.
