What is Somatic Coaching and how can it help me?

As trauma-informed somatic coach I will support you to gently reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, empowering, and led by you.

My unique coaching method weaves together cutting-edge, research-backed science and deeply nourishing spiritual practices to support deep and sustainable transformation.

I also use the Soma-Pysche-Soul Coaching Method® which recognises the holistic nature of each and every one of us and looks at how we are within our body (soma), our mind (pysche) and our soul. Each one of these needs loving care and attention at the right time for you.

Rather than focusing only on thoughts or talking through problems, somatic coaching works with the body, with your sensations, breath, movement, and nervous system.

This is so important because stress, trauma, and long-term illness are not just “in the mind”—they are held and experienced in the body too.

Being trauma-informed means the work is always nervous system friendly and guided by safety, choice, and respect for your unique experiences. There is no pressure to push, relive, or “fix” anything. Instead, the focus is on building trust with your body at your own pace.

How does this help women with chronic mental, physical or emotional struggles?

Stress is not just psychological, it is physiological - we can’t talk our way out of it, we can slowly learn how to build a sense of safety and capacity and feel our way back to healing.

Many women ( like myself) living with chronic conditions (such as CFS/ME, long Covid, anxiety, burnout, autoimmune illness, chronic pain, depression, overwhelm, complex PTSD) feel disconnected from their bodies, stuck in cycles of stress and symptoms and, as a result of this live in fear and overwhelm.

We can also feel so unheard, unsupported and unseen through our journey which can leave us feeling so alone.

As a somatic coach my job is to let you know you are not alone and to walk alongside you on your precious journey. To help you re-learn how to live in your body again - to help you to reconnect with your aliveness, a sense of ground, a sense of safety and a sense of embodied hope.

Together we will do this through coaching, practices (both done during our sessions as well as take-home practices), movement, breath work and using many powerful healing modalities.

This work can support you by:

Regulating the nervous system & supporting the vagus nerve
Using pyscho-education and specific tools and practises to help your body move out of survival states (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) into a place of greater calm, safety, and balance.

Reducing overwhelm and fatigue
Through gentle, body-led practices and specific somatic guided meditations that restore energy rather than deplete it.

Rebuilding trust with the body
Shifting the relationship from frustration or fear to one of listening, compassion, and understanding.

Finding your voice again
Through specific empowerment and voice practises to help you build a sense of confidence and allowing yourself to be seen and heard in your full glory.

Creating space for emotions to move and release
Without needing to analyse everything—allowing feelings to be processed safely through the body.

Deepening your relationship with yourself and your soul
Using rituals, soul cards and intuitive guidance to help you reconnect within and find a sense of belonging and purpose again.

Supporting pain management
By working with how the body holds tension and stress, which can influence physical symptoms.

Empowering self-awareness and choice
Helping you recognise your boundaries, needs, and signals—so you can respond with care rather than pushing through.

Together we will explore and understand where you are currently at, where you would like to get to and what might help support you to get there. Not through pushing or force but through curiosity, kindness and compassion.

What kind of things will we do?

It is not one size fits all. Just like you are an individual with your own story, journey, needs, likes, dislikes and triggers, I also use a number of different modalities, techniques and interventions.

Many of these I have used myself over the years and have now trained in. I find that having a wide range of options works so well as it can be tailored to suit your absolute uniqueness! They can also change as you change and we can tweak and tailor the work so that we are only working at your pace and your capacity. This is true nervous system friendly, trauma informed healing.

Our work together will be guided by you and will include a combination of:

  • Somatic movement, vagus nerve & nervous system healing & restoration

  • Breathwork

  • Specific and targeted guided meditation & soul guidance

  • Sleep and relaxation support with lifestyle guidance

  • Emotional Freedom Technique

  • Parts work (using internal family systems model)

  • Nature connection rituals

  • Archetypes

  • Boundaries and empowerment techniques

  • Compassion & acceptance therapeutic techniques

You are never lost, sometimes we just need a map to get home to ourselves

“And I said to my body, softly “I want to be your friend’.

It took a long breath. And replied, I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.”
