To my dearest, most brave of souls.

I’m so sorry you are struggling so much. If you are in pain, I see you. If you are feeling anxious, frightened or alone, I see you. If you feel hopeless or broken, I see you. If you are feeling ill, exhausted and raging, I see you.

You see, I see it all because I have been there. I know the darkness, I know the struggle and I know the pain.

You are not alone.

I know how hard you try to do it all by yourself, I see the absolute steely strength you have had to have and I am in awe of it. I am always in awe of women. You don’t know how powerful you are.

The greatest gift that I have been given in my own healing is that I found someone who could see my pain and hold me through that. I can be that person for you should you need it. I can hold you in your fear or rage or sadness, all of it is welcome with me.

Only the very bravest of souls come to do this work but there is true beauty on the other side. It’s not easy and often not quick but nor is living with all of the things you already do. You can do this, there is hope. Have faith my darling, have faith.

I promise that there will come a day where you can begin to feel your power once again, a little shaft of hope and light that will only grow and get stronger.

Like the lotus growing up through the mud, your petals will open and your light will shine again. You will emerge stronger and more powerful than you ever imagined.

You are on your very own heroine’s journey and you will find your way to victory.
